The Art Institute of Chicago

Photography
As a long-standing documentarian of the museum and school’s fashion collection, it was an honor to be selected for the Material Transitions: Japanese Fashion exhibit at The Art Institute of Chicago. Images were used for the museum brochure, promotional materials, and featured in Time magazine covering the exhibit. The museum acquired historic Schläppi mannequins for use in the shoot and exhibit.
Each garment was carefully draped and arranged to feature its unique qualities.
[Attached accessory could be removed and worn as hat. See below.]
[This sheer wrap dress was also splayed out and photographed separately.]
[I needed to lay out this sheer wrap dress and climb a ladder nearly 12 feet to fit the whole piece in frame.]
[Origami garments were displayed in their flattened forms.]
