Rebrand
Viewpoints, the largest customer-driven review website, had steady growth and success but found themselves stuck with a brand they outgrew. They had issues with load times and thought a simple asset review and refresh was the ask. Over the course of project discovery and early development, I had made a case for needing to do a complete overhaul of not only their existing graphics, but also their identity and site at large. They welcomed the plan and, coincidentally midway through the project, it became critical when they lost 50 percent of their traffic overnight from the Google Panda update.
Upon completion of the project, and having presented the final round to the executive team, I was asked to come in the following morning to give the same presentation to the entire company. I was sure to include inter-departmental references on how it would benefit everyone. It was met with resounding applause and the excitement was palpable. I have to say that these kind of morale building experiences are one of the things I cherish most about my work.
